Lake O The Pines

Today was such a beautiful day that we decided to go to the lake for a picnic. While we were there we planted 3 boxes too! :)

Before we went though the kids wanted to decorate their bags for their Valentines parties they will be attending in the next couple of weeks.

It was a wonderful day!

Moving of the White House

Phase 1 of the building of the Family Life Center for our Church was completed today. They moved our youth ministers house to a different location. The plan is to use part of the lot where the house used to be to build the new center.

It was pretty amazing. I had never seen anything like that before. Now it's so weird looking out our window and seeing an empty lot where a house used to be.

Fun time with friends

Tonight our friends Carl, Donna, Laura and Marty came over for dinner and to play a game of Spouse-ology. We grilled some fajitta's on the grill even though it was about 30 degrees outside. Then we played the game. Scott and I won. :)

Christopher's 3rd birthday!!

Three years ago today our one and only son was born. He has brought so much joy to our lives. I love him more than I could ever put into words.

Today we celebrated by inviting 4 of his little friends over for a party. He had such a good time.

We opened presents, ate cake and ice cream, then did a pinata.

Devil's Tower

We did something crazy tonight. Ever since we went and saw Devil's Tower in Wyoming this past summer we've wanted the kids to see the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." We decided to rent it on Netflix and was going to watch it tonight. However, we told them they couldn't see the movie until they played with their mashed potatoes and made Devil's Tower in honor of the movie. They thought we were crazy and thought we had totally lost it, but they weren't going to argue with a chance to play with their food. LOL It was fun.

Here was my tower. (And yes, I burned my sausage on purpose. That's the way I like it. :)

Ladies Night Out

Tonight the ladies from my Church went out to The Butcher Shop. We had a nice time. While we were there Scott and Carl took the kids out to eat at Applebees. So they had fun too. After dinner I dropped the ladies off at the Church. Donna and I met up with the guys at their house and watched Tim Hawkins while we ate popcorn. I could watch that guy a million times and still laugh my head off. He's hilarious!!
