Emma and Katherine had a little tiff too. They are acting like brother's and sisters. LOL
Kyrie was complaing about feeling car sick at one point, but thankfully that went away. She's been saying she wants to go home now. So hopefully she'll begin to enjoy things once we get there. I think the traveling is really taking it's toll. What on earth were Scott and I thinking taking this long trip with 8 kids?! We have another long day ahead of us tomorrow so I'm dreading that. Please pray that the kids are in better moods tomorrow and for patience for us adults.
We weren't the only one's who had travel problems. Marty's truck started acting up. So he had to take it to a dealership to see if they could fix it. Carl and his family stayed with their family to keep them company during the repairs while the college team and us went on to Garden of the God's for lunch. We didn't really have time to do any hiking, but it was a nice scenic place to eat.
By the way, the dealership didn't know what was wrong with Marty's truck. They did a fuel injector service and it seemed to help b/c it ran ok after that.
From Garden of the Gods we were supposed to have only 2 1/2 hours to go before hitting Cheyenne, Wyoming, however that plan was quickly put to a hault once we entered Denver. There was a HUGE traffic jam. Apparently there was an accident that almost completely shut down the highway. We were almost at a standstill for 1 hour!!!!! ARGH!! So once we finally got past that we needed a break from being in the van. So we stopped at a Taco Bell/Pizza Hut and had dinner. (The college team went on ahead b/c they wanted to make a drive through of Estes Park before heading in Cheyenne. We're going there on the way back.)
So after we ate we got back in the van once again and headed the rest of the way into Cheyenne. We're now in our room about to go to sleep. Kimberly and Kirsten are sleeping with some of the college team in their room tonight b/c Carl and Donna and Marty and Laura went on to a town about 45 miles from here to meet up with Mr.Bill and Linda, and Sue and Ronnie at an RV park there.
The plan is to get up early in the morning and drive for a couple of hours. Then stop to have a worship service at a park somewhere with just our crew. Then drive some more to Devil's tower for lunch, then reach our final destination of Mystic Hills Camp!
